TEENS

Our TCAR Students (6th-12th grades) ministry aims to produce disciples for Jesus.

A disciple is simply a follower of Jesus. We want all students to know you are welcome, regardless of where you are in your faith journey. Our student group is very accepting. Our middle and high school students meet together to hang out, learn, and get to know each other better.

Depending on what is going on throughout the year, our students meet at different locations, including the Haynes' house, our youth room at TCAR, or local restaurants (this group loves to eat!).

We meet on Sundays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Join us at church at 10 a.m. on Sundays, where we announce where the student group is meeting that afternoon. Or join our student GroupMe to get all the announcements on your phone.

TCAR STUDENTS

What does a typical student small group involve?

  • The first few minutes of every group are spent getting to know everyone, hanging out, and catching up on everyone's week.
  • We spend about 20-30 minutes discussing a topic together. We've studied various books of the Bible, talked about our spiritual gifts, and sermon topics.
  • The last part of the small group varies, depending on the day and time of year. Sometimes, we sit around a campfire, host impromptu worship songs, play games or eat dinner together. About once a month, our church community provides dinner so students can catch up over a meal.
  • We welcome students' parents to join us for outings and Sunday nights when they can.
